Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assists offshore operations by maintaining and repairing all Instrumentation and Electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair 12v to 48v DC systems
  • Test Safety devices regularly and calibrate sensors as needed.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot and maintain various systems such as ESD, VFD, PLC and others
  • Calibrate end devices such as pressure transducers, speed controllers, RTU’s, loop controllers and valve positioners.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC or HMI electrical panels is a plus
  • Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or installing low voltage (12-480 VAC) systems (generators, panels, breakers, transformers, and motor starters), when needed
  • Read technical documentation including Piping & Instrument Diagrams, loop drawings, wiring schematics, and specifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Offshore I&E Technician required
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of NFPA (NEC), API, and UL508A

Electrician – Guyana

TASKS:

Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians should possess previous relevant work experience and oil and gas construction experience and meet all minimum required training set forth by Qualco Guyana.

TASKS:

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all pneumatic instrumentation/electrical systems and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for performing corrective activities and recording instrumentation/electrical maintenance activities and subsequent technical reporting as required.
  • Diagnosis of problems affecting production equipment and systems, taking corrective actions to anticipate and prevent downtime.
  • Performs breakdown repairs whenever required and demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities to improve production performance in the oil and gas industry.
  • Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures.

Housing will not be provided for this position, so candidates will need to live within 1 hour of the Carlsbad, Jal, and Hobbs, NM areas. (This is specific to the location you are applying for)

 Responsibilities and Duties

  • Startup, Monitor, and Operate Amine systems to treat the Natural Gas stream
  • Monitor and make adjustments to Pumps and Amine levels as needed
  • Take samples of the natural gas stream to check CO2 levels and make adjustments based on each reading
  • Assist in repairing pumps, valves, and other equipment on location
  • Change out filters and other consumables when required
  • Communicate daily status to customer representatives
  • Promote good housekeeping methods and keep work locations clean

 Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably as an Operator or Pumper
  • Must have good driving record and be able to pass annual motor vehicle background checks
