Rope Access

ROPE ACCESS TRAINING CENTER

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Rope Access is a work method by which skilled technicians are capable of accessing remote areas around the globe to perform a range of services, such as construction, mechanical, inspection, welding and electrical – to name a few. Prior to operating in these environments, an individual must attend and successfully complete a rope access training course under IRATA and/or SPRAT.

The Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) and the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) are globally recognized institutions that have developed training programs to meet the needs of technicians, employers and clientele worldwide. Both IRATA and SPRAT play an integral role in the development of internationally recognized standards for rope access safe work practices, training and certification. In short – their mission is to create a safe working environment within the industrial rope access industry through their resources, knowledge-based training and certification. Zadok Technologies is a recognized Member, Operator and Trainer under IRATA, as well as a Member and Trainer under SPRAT.

Certification is attained by successfully completing a 4-day course that covers rope access theory, practical maneuvers and basic to advanced rescue planning. On the fifth day, a written, oral and practical test will be administered by an independent IRATA Assessor and/or SPRAT Evaluator. Upon successfully completing the course and once approved through IRATA and/or SPRAT, each candidate will receive one (1) logbook, one (1) ID card and one (1) physical certificate. These will be shipped directly to the candidate’s physical address.

There are 3 levels of rope access certification: Level 1, 2 and 3. All technicians begin as a Level 1 Technician and typically work their way towards becoming a Level 3 Technician. Eligibility to advance to higher level can only be achieved by logging work experience, such as the hours spent performing rope access work and the amount of time spent at a level.

Courses will typically run Monday – Friday from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. Assessment and/or Evaluation will be held on the fifth day of training. Zadok Technologies will provide lunch for each candidate during their Assessment and/or Evaluation.
