Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assists offshore day to day operations by maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment
• Read technical documentation including Piping & Instrument Diagrams, loop drawings, wiring schematics, and specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair 12v to 48v DC systems
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Rig equipment such as galley equipment, PA communication systems, NAV Aids, fire and gas systems, and platform lighting.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair of VFD medium-, low-voltage drives and reduced voltage starters
• Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
• Install, terminate, and band cables in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems
• Maintain an open line of communication with company and client representatives

Candidates should have working knowledge of the following systems and equipment:

• TDX1250 top drives
• ST160 / MPT270 Iron Roughnecks
• Hydraracker IV-ER Pipe racking Systems
• Pneumatic fingerboards
• AHD and SSGD Drawworks
• 14P220 Mud Pumps
• Hydraulic Elevators
• HV/LV Transformers
• SWBD Maintenance
• Water cooler dynamic braking resistors

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Electrical Technician experience offshore in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Electrical Subject Matter Expert – excellent electrical troubleshooting skills and techniques
• Passport is required
