Electrician Helper – Guyana

The Electrician Helper contributes to the overall success of Qualco Guyana and its customers through actively engaging in a project team and providing assistance to support the team in executing assigned projects within Qualco Guyana safety guidelines, as well as all designated quality, on-time/schedule, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Assist the lead electrician and follow instructions
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment
• Prepare and clean work areas
• Carry and deliver materials
• Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform conduit work
• Follow safety codes and building regulations
• Demonstrate excellent skill factors onsite

Qualifications and Experience:

• Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skills
• Completion of basic electrician training program preferred
• Able to diagnose problems using electronic test equipment
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Intermediate computer and word processing skills using MS Office applications
• Excellent organizational & prioritizing skills with the ability to multitask and work under the pressure
• Energetic, self-motivated and quick to learn with a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to work in a team or independently in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Able to demonstrate sense of initiative and ownership
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license
