Project Manager

Position Location: Houma, LA
Under the direction of the Field Operations Manager and with safety, efficiency and customer service a priority, the Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day guidance of employees as they execute projects. This includes developing a timeline for the project and delegating the individual components to members of the team, including himself. The Project Manager provides regular updates the Field Operations Manager in regards to the team’s progress in meetings or through regular email contact and reports. Should a conflict arise, the Project Manager must work with team members to solve the conflict quickly and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with client procedural requirements
  • Ensure daily detailed planning is conducted for all upcoming operations
  • Ensure good and clear communications with all involved parties
  • Ensure Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported
  • Participate in meetings in a proactive and constructive manner
  • Participate in the training and competence assessments of team members

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 10+ year’s industry experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills
  • Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry and the company
  • Subject Matter Expert in Electrical, Electronic Instrumentation or Mechanical Fields
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and to follow-up on all till completion
  • Superior troubleshooting skills and techniques
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Strive to produce a safe, economic and efficient operation
  • Never put performance ahead of safety

Job Specifics
  • Set up and manage support functions: planning, tracking, reporting, quality management and internal communication
  • Produce consolidated reporting to the Field Operations Manager, including milestone summary, key issues, risks, benefits, summary of costs incurred
  • Establish standards, tools and procedures for use on the project
  • Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards
  • Direct technical and organizational resources within the project
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with management
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned project and scope
  • Maintain an open line of communication with the projects client representative
  • Ensure that Procurement department has all the details and information to assure delivery of materials, tools and/or equipment to support progress schedules
  • Prepare reports as requested by Management and/or the Client
  • Keep Field Operations Manager well informed of project status and act as liaison between technicians and office
  • Supervise and provide leadership to onsite technicians
  • Lead and facilitate constructive communication within team
